PAINT A LARGE WOODEN SNOWFLAKE! @ Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment, Studio 114
Dec 22 @ 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

LARGE WOODEN SNOWFLAKES

Looking for something creative, holiday themed, fun and EASY? Come paint a snowflake with us! These large wooden snowflakes are super easy to paint and we have all the colors AND some sparkly addons if you want to really be extra. And at this time of year, being extra is a good thing.

This is our December painting benefit party, so 50% goes to our chosen organization, which this month is BUCKHORN HIGH SCHOOL MARCHING BAND. (Go Bucks!)

Do you have to be associated with or even know anyone in Buckhorn Band to participate?  Nope. You can just have fun painting a big wooden snowflake.

March Band Booster Meeting
Mar 12 @ 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM
This is a *very* important meeting where we will set nominations for next year’s Booster Board, and also take a general membership vote on proposed by-laws revisions.
If you have not yet taken the elections survey to give us your interest in helping either on the Board or in volunteering, please do so.
*As of right now*,  we have no coverage of the concessions stand duties (2VP and 2VP Assistant positions).  Concessions is key to keeping our fees low.  Not only does concessions offer a means for fee credits from working slots, but it also brings a net general fund profit into the band.   Our Booster Association will lose concessions at Buckhorn if we cannot manage and staff it.  There are a lot of programs that would step forward and lobby to take it and the $25,000 to $30,000 of net revenue it generates.
If we lose concessions next year, all our fees would increase by approximately $175 or more for each student.
Remember, all VP duties include a $500 student fee credit either zeroing out or substantially decreasing parent’s costs for their student.
We also have created a new Treasurer Assistant Position which is a great way to help and learn about our Booster Association.
If you have been on the fence for potentially stepping forward to help out on the Board or specifically in concessions, please let me know.  Now is the time to step forward!
