What is the uniform wearing policy? PDF Print E-mail

The Buckhorn Band takes great pride in how we present ourselves in public.  Our presence in public should represent our discipline within the organization and we should always hold ourselves to high standards.  For this reason all students are expected to follow the rules below when wearing uniforms.

  1. Always wear the complete uniform in public.  Never unzip a jacket or take off a bow tie unless you are on the bus or in the band room.  The only exception may come when all jackets come off during the hot summer nights but only if everyone has the same attire under their jacket.
  2. Ear rings and other jewelry should not be worn while in uniform.  These items must be removed or covered with a flesh colored Band-Aid or tape.
  3. Students shall not show a public display of affection in uniform.
  4. Band uniforms should be properly folded and placed on the hanger before returning to the uniform room.  Never leave a uniform on the floor or off the hanger.
