Upcoming Buckhorn 9th-12th graders with prior experience playing an instrument are encouraged to sign up for both the fall and spring Advanced Band classes. The fall semester of advanced band includes marching/football season, a Christmas concert, and at least one Christmas parade. The spring course is completely focused on concert band, including district/state contests and a spring concert. This is by no means an exhaustive list of activities for either course.
Upcoming Buckhorn 9th-12th graders who do not know how to play an instrument may take the Intermediate Band course. This class is designed for those with no prior band experience to learn how to read and play music on the instrument of their choice. This class can also prepare them to join the Advanced Band.
