The requirements for captain are as follows:
- Must have served on the line for at least one year
- Must demonstrate strong leadership qualities
- In addition to the normal tryout process each student must
- Create and perform her own routine to a separate song pre-approved by Mr. Raney.
- Answer interview questions from the judges.
In addition, each student wanting to tryout for captain will be evaluated by attitude and leadership throughout the week by the sponsor. A confidential rubric will be given to the judges during the tryout.
