| How do I become a member of the Color Guard? |

Each year at the end of the spring semester a short clinic will be given to all students who would like to tryout for the color guard unit for the following year. All students who will be a 9-12 grader the following year is eligible to tryout. All current members must tryout each year. No prior experience in band or dance is required to tryout. All students will be taught the basic skills needed to perform a routine that is taught the week of tryouts. A panel of qualified judges will select the next year's members according to their ability to perform what they were taught that week. If selected, additional training camps may be required in order to perform to an acceptable level during the marching season. Students will not learn everything there is to know about flag and body movement during the tryout camp. Students are simply judge upon their ability to learn and their level of commitment. All students who are highly motivated and would like to be a part of a rewarding experience is highly encouraged to participate. Some skills required during the tryout process may contain:
