Congratulations to the Band and to Mr. Raney!

The Buckhorn Band Boosters Association wishes to offer very enthusiastic congratulations to all of the Buckhorn High School Band students, and to Mr. Raney, for the outstanding effort they put forth on Friday, March 26th, at the “Music Performance Assessment (MPA)” at Decatur High School.   We wish to further congratulate the Band for having received all superior ratings or all 1’s.  This included superior ratings from each of the three judges for the band’s performances of the following:   “National Emblem”, composer E.E. Bagley “He’s Gone Away,” composer Rick Kriby “Incantation and Dance,” composer John Barnes Chance   Additionally, the band received Superior ratings for their sight-reading performance and for their overall MPA rating.  Finally, they also received a special rating of “Superior with Distinction” – they were the only band rated so highly in Friday’s assessment.   Congratulations!   Pete Valentine Marilyn Valentine Ed Martin Cathy Yoder Tammy Sims Dawn Mullins
