The Buckhorn Band Boosters Association is pleased to announce its second annual Family Fun Night fundraiser to be held on Saturday, March 27, 2010 from 4 to 8pm. Family Fun Night will have something special for everyone in the community to enjoy: great food, a silent auction, shopping, games and activities for kids of all ages, fabulous prizes, and a performance by Buckhorn’s very own Jazz Band! ACTIVITIES - TICKETS - DRAWINGS - WORKING OPORTUNITIES We will again be offering a choice of an Ol’ Hickory BBQ Dinner Plate for $8.00 (which includes BBQ, Baked Beans, Cole Slaw, Potato Salad, Roll, Dessert & Drink) or a Hot Dog Plate for $5.00 (which includes 2 Hot Dogs, Chips, Dessert & Drink). In the coming days, each band student will be given ten dinner tickets to sell (more are available if needed). Students will also be asked to sign up to work at various game and activity stations at particular times. At the Band Booster meeting next week, band parents will also be given the opportunity to sign up to work in various capacities (i.e., ticket sales and collection, serving dinner, working the concession stand, running games, set up and clean up, etc.). A percentage of the sale of dinner tickets will be applied to student accounts. Additionally, students and parents who sign up to work during Family Fun Night will earn a percentage of the profits. ACTIVITIESThe BBBA Executive Committee has worked hard to make this year’s Family Fun Night activities and prizes even more exciting than last year’s. Following is a list of some of the activities and prizes being offered this year:
PURCHASING TICKETSIf you are interested in purchasing either or both dinner tickets and drawing prize tickets for the Buckhorn High School Band's Second Annual Family Fun Night, please contact Dawn Wacaster. Ms. Wacaster can be contacted by CLICKING HERE Dinner tickets are available for both (a) an Ol' Hickory BBQ Dinner Plate for $8.00 (which includes BBQ, Baked Beans, Cole Slaw, Potato Salad, Roll, Dessert & Drink) and (b) a Hot Dog Plate for $5.00 (which includes 2 Hot Dogs, Chips, Dessert & Drink). Additionally, drawing prize tickets are available for $1 each for prizes in the following five categories: (1) Dining, (2) Night Out, (3) Golf, (4) Parties, and (5) Shopping. PRIZE DRAWINGSOne of the most exciting events held last year was the Prize Drawing. This year’s prize packages include many very popular restaurants and fun activities. Students will be asked to sell tickets for only $1.00 each for five separate prize categories, noting on the face of the ticket the person’s name and phone number and the category in which they are buying a ticket. The categories are given below.
Students and parents are encouraged to sell as many tickets as possible! Please assist your student with selling their allotment of tickets to friends, relatives, neighbors and co-workers. Students should keep the part of the ticket that contains teh purcaser's name, phone number and prize category and give the other half to the purchaser. Purchasers of these Prize Drawing tickets do not have to be present to win! WORKING OPORTUNITIESThe following is list of working oportunities for parents.
