Among other things that will be auctioned at the Silent Auction, we will have “theme baskets” that we hope will bring in a minimum of $25 each. We’re asking that each section in the band and choir “adopt” one basket (large sections may do two baskets).
You may use one of the suggested themes below, or you may pick your own theme (be creative!), as long as it is approved by the Planning Team. We want to include everyone in the Silent Auction effort! Once you have chosen your theme, let everyone in your section bring one or more items that fit the theme to put in the basket. For example, if the theme is “Hot Wheels” everyone in the section would bring in Hot Wheel cars or accessories. The section whose basket raises the most money per member of the section at the Silent Auction will win a pizza party!!! Suggested themes: Office supply box At the Beach Spectacular Scrapbooks Bath and Spa Gifts for Gardeners Cooking up Kitchen Fun Birdwatchers Basket Princesses (for little girls) Computer Nerds Heaven Sports (for men or for boys—please specify) Chocolate Lovers’ Basket Take Me Out to the Ballgame (baseball stuff) Coffee or Tea Lovers’ Basket AutoParts SuperBasket Games (electronic or otherwise) Puppies and Big Dogs (dog supplies or dog-lovers’ things) Feline Favorites (cat supplies or cat-lovers’ things) - Creative Crafts (crafting supplies—specific crafts or general crafting)

by February 16th. Begin collecting items for your basket(s). Keep these at home until the collection days. Bring auction items to school on Monday, Feb. 23, Tuesday, Feb. 24, or Thursday, Feb. 26. They will be picked up from the Band or Choral Room. Label your items with this information: Basket theme, Section, and Value of item. Baskets will be put together by the Silent Auction Team. An idea: let one person bring something that fits with your theme that can be used as the “basket” itself. There is not a set value for contributions. You can include gift certificates. Contributions should not be “used items.” You may get donations from a business. If you do, please check with Mrs. Webster, as the Boosters are approaching a lot of businesses, and we don’t want to overwhelm just a few! Also, we have a contribution receipt that you will need to use for businesses that contribute. If you have any questions, or need ideas, call Mrs. Webster!
