The Buckhorn High School Band Boosters are proud to announce the Band’s Fall 2009 Fundraiser - just in time for the Holidays - Schermer Pecans!
Schermer Pecans is a Georgia-based company that has been in business for over 50 years. Schermer Pecans specializes in quality fresh shelled pecan products such as jumbo pecan halves and several flavors of candied pecans (i.e., chocolate covered, cinnamon covered and pecan caramel clusters), packaged in attractive foil bags suitable for Holiday gift-giving. Also, Schermer’s popular cookbook features 350 “treasured recipes” for everything from appetizers to main dishes to desserts.
This fundraiser will help put money into your student’s account to pay for Fall and Spring fees. We have the ability to raise a great deal of money with this fundraiser if everyone works hard. We are asking each student to try to sell at least 10 units. Here are some tips to help you be a successful fundraiser:
Contact friends, neighbors and relatives and ask for their support. Inform customers that these pecans are fresher and much higher quality than those available in most grocery stores. Remind customers that pecans are needed during the Holiday Season and all throughout the year in cooking & baking. For your health conscious customers, mention that not only are pecans delicious, they are heart healthy! Suggest to customers that a bag of Candied Pecans and a Cookbook would make a perfect Christmas gift for someone who loves to cook. Suggest to customers that the Candied Pecans make great gifts for teachers, co-workers or other gift-giving occasions. Remind customers that they can buy extra because pecans keep for more than nine months when stored in the refrigerator and more than two years when stored in the freezer.

- Brochures are available by the Blue Box in the Band Room.
- Make checks payable to BHS Band. Please make sure that each check includes a phone number. (The office will not accept checks that do not include a phone number.)
- Please include payment with order.
- Put student’s name on order form.
- Place checks and order form in an envelope with your child’s name on it and put it in the blue Box in the Band Room by December 1st.
